Are you tired of trying to find your identity and worth through your career, children, marriage, romantic relationship, peers, outward appearance, and material things-i.e., designer purses, name brand clothing, social organizations, and religion? Are you tired of being in that abusive relationship? Are you tired of living beneath your potential? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then our services are designed for you.
AT WITG, OUR MOTTO IS “NO CHRIST, NO IDENTITY, KNOW CHRIST, KNOW YOUR IDENTITY”.
It is our belief that once an individual recognizes their Identity in Christ, this will lead to freedom from various forms of addictions (ie, drugs/alcohol, prescription drugs, food, sex, material things), and will also free families from domestic abuse, poverty, and numerous other issues which prevent them from living the abundant life Christ came to give!
FEATURED WOMAN OF THE YEAR: Susan Berry
Her testimony in her own words:
"I’m just an ordinary ‘gal’ who has made good choices and not so good choices throughout my life. Just like everyone else; I’ve had significant losses such as; losing both parents from ‘unnecessary’ medical issues and then my husband passed away from a horrible ‘bout’ of throat cancer. But through all of this, we should never give up hope and our faith in God.
Two years after my husband passed away, I was diagnosed with breast cancer; had multiple chemotherapy and radiation treatments and major surgery—through all of the ‘rough’ days, my family, especially my sister, was always by my side, including my friends, church members, and co-workers. The Lord blessed me in so many ways with all of my family, friends, etc., and a comfortable home to recover. I never gave up hope and became cancer free.
Many years had passed after my breast cancer diagnosis and I went in for a routine test; unfortunately, my results showed that I now have Stage 4, terminal colon cancer; but I told the doctors immediately that I wasn’t giving up and I felt like God had bigger, better plans for my life. The prayers from my church, community, friends and family have kept me alive along with great doctors, nurses, and medicine. I will never give up; some days aren’t the best and there are certain issues that have to be dealt with, but with faith in God, and the scripture from Philippians 4:6 are my “go-to” everyday. “Don’t worry about anything; PRAY about everything”! (“Tell GOD what you need and thank Him for all he has done”.)
I think our service to others is so important and a vital part of each of our lives. We are here to help others that need support and have less than we have. I am thankful to be able to do things in my community and hope to help others who need various means of support. GOD is GREAT!!"
